Background:  I moved to San Francisco, California, at age five with my parents and three brothers.  I lived on Guam in a Quonset hut in the middle of a jungle my sophomore year of high school.  I met my husband, Joe, on Guam when he served with the US Navy.  I graduated from Oroville Union High School in 1957 and married Joe two weeks later.  We had four daughters, Kathleen, Kari, Michelle, and Erica.  Kari died of Leukemia on Joe's birthday in 1966, one month before her sixth birthday.  We have five grandchildren.  Joe and I were married 55 years ago on June 22, 2012.

How I got started writing:  I have an outgoing fascination with the written word.  I began writting short stories and poems in junior high.  My novel writing began after I retired from teaching in 1997.  My first novel, AN ANGEL AMOUNG US was about Kari.  Now I write my favorite genre to read, Romantic Suspense.  I entered my first romance, THE CRYSTAL ANGEL in a contest by Fireside Publications in 2009 and it won first place in their contemporary category.  That book was followed by ROSE COTTAGE in 2010 and my latest romance entitled DREAMS. . . SHADOWS OF THE NIGHT was published in 2012.
